Road To Salvation
In the story of the Prodigal Son, the Father never went to the boy in the pig pen. He sent the elder brother to get him. Our job is to take jobs in the PIG-PEN so that we can get to our lost brothers and sisters. Casino, Bars, Lab, Mechanic Shops, Construction, Courthouse, Engineering, etc. Would Jesus take a job in a bar just to reach people? "The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!" Luke 7:34. Jesus Message to the Sinner was REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN HAS ARRIVED. Then he sends us out with the same message to bring sinners back home.
Non-Believers are NOT our enemy, but an opportunity to reconciled their faith back to God. Jesus never once told sinners about hell. He only told the RELIGIOUS PEOPLE about Hell. He told the sinners about the GOOD NEWS of the KINGDOM. Reconciliation: The restoration of friendly relations. 1. Reuniting, reunion, bringing (back) together (again), 2. the action of making one view or belief compatible with another. 2 nd Corinthians 5: 17-21….. The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. Reconciliation through our Ambassadorship: 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
